How to Watch the Emmy Awards Live Stream with ABC

CBS is airing this year’s Primetime Emmys, but that doesn’t mean you need an antenna or cable subscription to watch. Cord cutters have several options to stream the whole ceremony online.

CBS.com

If you’re stuck at your computer or have a laptop handy, but there’s no television in sight, head over to CBS.com to stream the Emmys. This requires a cable or satellite subscription, but it’s a great option if you’re unable to sit in front of your TV for the entire awards ceremony. To stream the Primetime Emmys on CBS.com, go to the site in your browser of choice and select the Live TV link. Verify your satellite or cable subscription if prompted, and you should be good to go. Return on the day of the ceremony, and you’ll get the live stream.

Paramount+

Formerly called CBS All-Access, Paramount+ is the CBS network’s live streaming service. The Emmys will stream both live and on-demand on the platform in September. Paramount+ has a seven-day free trial; afterward, it costs $5.99/month. There’s also an ad-free tier that costs $9.99/month.

Other Ways to Live Stream the Emmys

In addition to the official CBS website, you can live stream your local CBS channel and the Primetime Emmy Awards through many popular streaming services. These live television streamers work by making deals with local stations, so this option is only available if your local CBS station is onboard with one or more of these services. Most of these services have a free trial, so make sure to sign up a little early and ensure that CBS works in your area. If a service doesn’t have CBS, you won’t be able to stream the Emmys.

DirecTV Stream

DirecTV Stream was previously known as AT&T TV Now, and it has all the same channels. They’re able to provide ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, and others in most areas.

HULU+ LIVE TV

Hulu + Live TV pairs one of the most popular streaming services with live television. It offers local ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC channels in most areas and carries cable channels like ESPN and more. They have a 30-day free trial.

YOUTUBE TV

YouTube TV is a live television streaming service from Google that offers on-demand content and a cloud-based DVR. They offer ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, and more in most areas. They offer a free trial as well.

SLING TV

Sling TV only offers NBC and Fox in a limited number of markets, so this isn’t a good choice for the Emmys. A free trial is available, but save it for something that airs on NBC or Fox.

Emmy Awards Red Carpet Pre-Show Live Stream
