How Do You Screenshot on an HP Envy Windows 10 Laptop?
Here are several ways to screenshot an entire screen or app on an HP Envy laptop.
Method 1: Use the Print Screen Button
The Print Screen key is a physical key on Windows keyboards used to take screenshots. On HP laptops and computers, the Print Screen key is represented by Prn Scr. Other Windows keyboards may use PrtScn while older models may actually use the full phrase, Print Screen. There are a couple of keyboard shortcuts involving the Print Screen key. Here’s what they do.
Prn Scr: Pressing the Print Screen key by itself will take a screenshot of the entire screen and save it to Windows’ clipboard. Prn Scr + Alt: Takes a screenshot of the app being used and saves it to the clipboard. Prn Scr + Windows: This takes a screenshot of the whole display and saves it as a PNG file. Method 2: Use the Windows Snipping Tool
Pressing Windows + Shift + S will open the Windows operating system’s built-in Snipping tool. Once activated, you should see a small menu bar at the top of the screen with four screenshot option.

Once your screenshot is taken with the Snipping tool, it’ll be saved to the clipboard and will remain available there to be pasted into another app until other text or image content is copied. Method 3: Use Snip & Sketch
Snip & Sketch is a free app pre-installed on Windows devices. Opening it will take a screenshot of the entire screen, which can then be cropped, annotated, and saved. To open Snip & Sketch, click Windows Ink Workspace from the taskbar and select Fullscreen snip. You’ll see your full-screen screenshot.
