If you think the job is much too short-notice and unrealistic, and you wouldn’t be able to execute it to your standards, consider declining it entirely. If the client considers it a rush job because they need it quickly, but you know you could easily finish a high-quality product, accepting the project without a rush fee would help solidify the client relationship and earn trust and goodwill. What to Charge for a Rush Fee
